Once again, I started in beautiful sunshine. I cycled from Frecrkenhorst to Warendorf on the 100 Schloesser (=castles)-Route which is about 8k long but sooooooooooo much nicer than cycling along the busy main road.

The whole cycling day was totally nice and relaxed: the road was smooth, the route markers in place - and correct, so I could enjoy the surroundings....

....and my new found friend, the green little spider, that stayed with me until I arrived at my guest house in Muenster.

When I arrived at this sign, I thought I was almost there BUT then came the additional 10 k, all the way around Muenster (this is also not on my track) to Angelmodde a suburb of Muenster.

In the afternoon I cycled the 7k into town, nevertheless, and experienced a culture shock: after the laid-back and relaxed towns at the Weser, I expected something similar for Muenster.
But not at all: the city is totally busy and - for me - hectic. I knew that Muenster is - together with Freiburg - THE German bicycle town but I didn't know about their stressful behavior and was a bit overwhelmed. Also, I had imagined the city much smaller.
I let myself drift through the town center, usually not knowing where I am and not finding anything worth taking a picture, except for this statue in a bit less hectic area behind the cathedral.
